National Preparedness Month Begins

Illinois EMA Conference

• Advanced conference registration will be processed exclusively online. Advanced registration is suggested to provide accurate attendee numbers for presenters and staff.
• As of Friday, August 26^th at 12:00 pm, the ability to register on-line for the conference will be removed. We invite those who still wish to attend the conference to register at the Crowne Plaza upon arrival.
• As last year, there will be no registration fees for the 2011 IEMA Conference.
• Lodging will be the sole responsibility of the attendee. A list has been provided on the conference website of a variety of hotels near the conference location.
• Lunch will be served buffet style at the Crowne Plaza on September 7^th.
• First Aid/CPR/AED training and a course from the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC) will each be optional full day courses held on September 6th from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. If registering for either of these courses, do not register for a second breakout session for September 6th as these are all day courses.
• The conference breakout sessions will be 1 ½ hours in length. Attendees may choose two different breakout sessions per day.
• Invitation Only - An IPEM Reunion will be held on the evening of September 6^th from 7:00-8:30pm, directly following the PDS/IPEM Reception. All past and present IPEM recipients are invited to attend for an evening of networking and discussing current emergency management initiatives.
• Health Screenings will be available from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on September 6^th.
